Solar first
New roofs, strong yields, weak export credits
Almost every Baldivis home we visit has solar and most arrays are unshaded and correctly oriented. The yields are genuinely good. The problem is that the export credit is worth a fraction of what the energy is worth in your own car.
Shift the charging to daylight where the driving pattern allows, and you convert cheap export into free driving. Where the car is out all day, off peak scheduling picks up the slack overnight.

What to know before install day in Baldivis
- Check whether your builder left an EV conduit. It can shave real time and cost off the install.
- Some estate homes have the meter box on the far side from the garage. Confirm the run length before comparing quotes.
- Newer boards are usually fine, but a spare way is not the same as spare capacity. A quick load check is still worth doing.
