The Gen 3 is what Tesla themselves ship out to Australian owners. Plug in a Model 3, Y, S or X and it auto-authenticates through Tesla Auto Connect, no card tap, no app hop. Because it runs Type 2 it still happily charges every other EV on the road, from a Kia EV5 to a BYD Seal. Does the Gen 3 charge non-Tesla EVs?+

Yes, it uses a standard Type 2 plug, so it charges every EV sold in Australia. Only the auto-authentication feature is Tesla-specific.

Can I run two Gen 3s on one circuit?+

Yes. Up to 16 Gen 3 connectors can share a single circuit through Tesla's Wi-Fi load-sharing. We'll wire and commission both units together so they never trip your main.

Does it need Wi-Fi?+

For firmware and load-sharing, yes. It'll happily charge without Wi-Fi, but you'll miss out on Tesla's ongoing feature updates.

Will it charge from my rooftop solar?+

Yes, external CT clamps on your switchboard read real-time export and divert that free solar to the car before it hits the grid. Works with every inverter brand sold in WA.

How long does a Perth install take?+

Most single-phase installs are done in a single 3–4 hour visit. Three-phase or long cable runs can stretch to a full day. We book, wire, commission and app-pair on the same day so you drive off the next morning charged from your wall.
