What a system like this does

Daytime: solar runs the house

Pool pumps, aircon, kitchen and anything else running between 9am and 3pm runs straight off the panels. Nothing bought from the grid.

Surplus: battery fills first

Extra generation tops up the battery before anything exports. With a bank this size there is still room left after a full day of sun.

Evening: battery covers peak

Cooking, TV, aircon and overnight loads run off the battery through the expensive window. The grid only steps in near sunrise.
