Single phase, 32A
About 35 to 45km/hour
Most Perth homes
A three-phase wallbox can deliver up to 22kW. Most cars will take 11kW. A smaller group can use the full output. We design around the car and the switchboard, not the number printed on the box.

The number that matters
A 22kW wallbox is the electrical ceiling. The car's onboard AC charger controls the actual draw. Connect an 11kW EV and it takes 11kW. Connect a 7kW EV and it takes about 7kW. Nothing is forced into the battery.

Before installation
We confirm genuine three-phase supply and the main switch rating, not just a three-phase-looking meter.
Ducted aircon, pool equipment, induction cooking and electric hot water all count toward available capacity.
A three-phase circuit uses a larger cable. Distance, roof access, paving and the mounting position move the installation cost.
The charger needs a dedicated circuit, compliant isolation and the correct AC and DC leakage protection for its design.
Vehicle limits
Variant and option packs matter. We check the exact vehicle specification before promising a speed.
Solar on three phases
A Zappi 22kW or Fronius Wattpilot can reduce output to follow available solar rather than drawing the maximum all day. Three current sensors measure what each phase is doing. Load management then protects the main supply when the home is busy.
The right hardware
myenergi Zappi 22kW is the solar-diverting benchmark. Fronius Wattpilot is the natural fit for a Fronius solar system. Tesla Wall Connector is a clean choice for simple charging and multi-unit load sharing. We choose around the electrical system, not a preferred badge.
Not for a normal 7kW home charger. You only need three phase when you want 11kW or 22kW AC charging, or when the home's load is better spread across three phases. Most Perth drivers can comfortably recharge overnight on single phase.
Yes, provided the property already has three-phase supply or the supply is upgraded first. We check the main switch, meter, switchboard capacity, cable route and the car's AC limit before specifying the circuit and charger.
A car that accepts the full 22kW can add roughly 110 to 130km of range per hour. Most Australian EVs accept only 11kW AC, so the same 22kW wallbox will add closer to 55 to 70km per hour when connected to them.
A 77kWh battery takes about three and a half to four hours from empty if the car accepts the full 22kW. If that car is limited to 11kW, allow about seven hours. Charging losses, temperature and battery management can add a little time.
A 7kW charger uses one phase at 32 amps. A 22kW charger uses all three phases at 32 amps per phase. The 22kW unit has three times the electrical capacity, but the car's onboard charger decides whether it receives 7kW, 11kW or the full 22kW.
The quickest check is the main switch or incoming supply at the switchboard. Three linked main switches or three incoming active conductors normally indicate three phase. Send us clear photos of the meter and switchboard and our team can confirm it before a visit.
Yes, with a solar-aware unit and metering across all three phases. A Zappi 22kW or Fronius Wattpilot can follow available surplus rather than drawing the full 22kW. The result depends on inverter size, export across each phase and household load.
We are a Perth based electrical contractor working the full metro, from Yanchep in the north to Mandurah in the south. Most jobs are booked within three to seven days of you accepting the quote.
Mark was 100/10. Communication, price and most important quality and immaculate workmanship. We had an EV charger and full solar with battery installed. He worked his quote to fit our budget, sorted the silly admin with the energy companies, and staggered the install over two Saturdays to suit us. The battery in the garage is a work of art. I will recommend him 10 times over.
Received a call back from Mark who arranged everything. He was very knowledgeable on the myenergi Zappi charger and left me feeling really confident. The finished job looked mint, the garage was left spotless. Two weeks later I asked Mark to fit a 16kWh GoodWe battery and inverter. Once again the work was done professionally, on time and at a fantastic price.
Mark installed our new GoodWe 33 kWh battery system, upgraded our solar inverter and added additional panels. Friendly, professional and easy to deal with from start to finish. He took the time to explain how the new system works. It's refreshing to deal with a local electrician who genuinely cares. 5 stars!
Great service from Mark installing our EV charger. He arrived right on time, worked efficiently, and left everything very tidy and neat afterward. The installation itself is clean and professional, excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend.
They responded to my request for a quote faster than anyone else. They were competitive and turned up exactly when they said they would. Their work was great. All went very well. I would happily recommend Mark and his team to everyone. A great service.
I'm impressed by Mark. Service exceeded expectations. I had a full install with supplied EV wall charger. Price reasonable and communication impeccable. Thank you Mark!
I was very impressed that Mark contacted me very soon after I submitted a request for a quote to install my Zappi charger. The installation was extremely quick and it was obvious that Mark certainly knew what he was doing, to the extent that I asked him to replace all of our solar panels and install a new battery too.
Today Mark installed a new EV charger at my property and I couldn't be happier with the result. Mark communicated really well in the lead up to the job, so I always knew the plan. The install itself looks very professional and there was no mess left when the job was completed.
Mark did an amazing job installing the myenergi Zappi Glo EV charger. Great workmanship, very tidy and professional. He arrived on time with great communication throughout. I would definitely recommend him for any electrical needs.
