Do I need to already have solar?+
No. Zappi runs as a normal 7 kW charger without solar, you just skip the Eco+/Eco modes. Add panels later and the CT clamps unlock the diversion features automatically.
Will it work with my Powerwall / Sungrow battery?+
Yes. Zappi is battery-aware and reads storage as its own energy source. You pick the priority order in the app: house, battery, then car, or car first if you're heading out at 5am.
Tethered or socketed?+
Tethered is neater and faster (no cable to grab). Socketed is future-proof, swap in a longer cable, or lend it to a mate's PHEV. We recommend tethered for 90% of Perth driveways.
Will it charge from my rooftop solar?+
Yes, external CT clamps on your switchboard read real-time export and divert that free solar to the car before it hits the grid. Works with every inverter brand sold in WA.
How long does a Perth install take?+
