The real cure for range anxiety: waking up with a full tank every day

Range anxiety is not a battery problem. It is a habit problem, and a 7.4kW wall unit fixes it inside a week.

The one thing nobody warns first time EV owners about is the mental shift. For twenty years of petrol driving, the car has been something you fill up occasionally at a station. Range anxiety is really just the leftover instinct from that old model.

Once a home charger goes on the wall, that instinct dies inside a week.

Why the fear disappears

You are not driving a car with 450 kilometres of range. You are driving a car that starts every single morning with 450 kilometres of range. The battery is topped up while you sleep, the same way your phone is.

For 95 percent of Perth driving, that is the entire game. Airport runs, road trips down south, occasional Margaret River weekend, those are the outliers where public charging matters. Everything else is handled by the wall.

The 7.4kW sweet spot

You do not need a 22kW three phase monster for daily driving. A 7.4kW single phase unit adds about 40 kilometres of range per hour. Overnight, that is 400 kilometres. Nobody drives 400 kilometres in a Perth day.
