The charger that thinks like your inverter.
Fronius has been quietly running the biggest share of Perth rooftops for a decade. The Wattpilot is what happens when the inverter people design the wallbox, it pulls solar data directly from your Fronius over Solar.web, so there's no third-party CT clamp, no signal cabling gymnastics, no dropped readings. The clever bit is auto phase-switching: when there's not enough surplus for 22 kW three-phase, Wattpilot drops to single-phase on whichever phase has the biggest surplus and keeps charging. That means genuinely usable solar diversion even when there's only 2 kW of headroom.
Homes already running a Fronius inverter or GEN24 hybrid.
- Native Fronius Solar.web integration, one app for PV + car
- Automatic phase switching between 1-phase and 3-phase
- Eco charging uses only excess solar
- Robust IP54 housing rated for outdoor installs
- Also available as a portable Wattpilot Go
What sets the Wattpilot Home 22 kW apart.
Direct inverter link
No CT clamps needed if you're on a Fronius. Wattpilot reads live PV, battery and consumption over your existing Solar.web account.
Auto phase switching
1P → 3P → 1P mid-session depending on solar surplus. Nobody else does this on a home charger.
22 kW ceiling
Full three-phase output when you need it fast. Roughly 130 km of range per hour on a Model Y three-phase.
Solar.web app
Panels, battery and car in one dashboard. History, forecasts, cost savings, export as CSV for your accountant.
Built for Perth
IP54 sealed housing, coastal-grade coating, tested for 45 °C ambient. Handles the Freo doctor and a January heatwave.
Austrian build quality
Made in Sattledt, Austria. Fronius has been shipping inverters since 1992, same engineering rigour applied to the wallbox.

Everything Perth drivers ask.
Do I need a Fronius inverter to use it?+
No, Wattpilot runs as a standard 22 kW charger on any home. But the deep solar integration lights up when it's paired with a Fronius, so it's the natural pick for existing Fronius households.
What's the difference between Home and Go?+
The Home is hardwired to your wall. The Go is a portable version with a Type 2 lead and a swappable industrial plug on the other end, take it to the beach house or your workplace.
Does it work with a battery?+
Yes. If you have a Fronius GEN24 with a paired battery (BYD HVS, LG, or Fronius Reserva), Wattpilot respects the battery reserve threshold you've set in Solar.web.
Will it charge from my rooftop solar?+
Yes, external CT clamps on your switchboard read real-time export and divert that free solar to the car before it hits the grid. Works with every inverter brand sold in WA.
How long does a Perth install take?+
Most single-phase installs are done in a single 3–4 hour visit. Three-phase or long cable runs can stretch to a full day. We book, wire, commission and app-pair on the same day so you drive off the next morning charged from your wall.
What warranty backs the install?+
The manufacturer warranty on the unit plus a 10-year Candela workmanship warranty on the mount, cable run, switchboard tie-in, RCD, isolators and any load-management gear we fit.
